Dr. Labinot Greiçevci is an expert in political science and also has an interest in the interface between political science and related academic disciplines. His teaching and research subjects include International State-building, External Affairs of the European Union, and EU and the West Balkans. He received his BA in Political Science at Prishtina University (2004), an MA in Political Science (European Politics and Public Policy) from Manchester University (2006) and his Ph.D. degree in Political Science (2011) from Ghent University, Belgium. He also has held research posts as an Honorary Research Fellow at the Department of Politics - Manchester University (2006/07), Visiting Researcher at the Department of Political Science, VU University Amsterdam (2008), and Department of Politics and IR, Oxford University (2010). He has published extensively in peer-review journals, noting here in specific his publications at the European Foreign Affairs Review (2007), L’Europe en Formation (2008), ISIG- Quarterly of International Sociology (2009), Perspectives on European Politics and Society (2011). Labinot speaks regularly at European and international academic events and conferences on a range of EU’s international role and state-building topics and plays an active role in organizing such events. For his research, Labinot has been awarded grants from the European Agency for Reconstruction, SOROS Foundation (GSGP) and the Erasmus Mundus External Cooperation Window Basileus Project. Previously, Labinot has served as Co-Chair and Lecturer at the Political Science Department- University of Business and Technology. In addition to his academic interests and experience, Labinot has served as a consultant to the Office of the Prime Minister of Kosovo through various international consultancies.


Dr. Qerim Qerimi is currently teaching International Law, International Organizations, and International Law of Human Rights at The University of Prishtina. He is also a Co-Professor of International Law and Diplomacy and Communication at the Prishtina International Summer University. Trained in law and political science, he has a long-standing interest in the field of political philosophy and international relations, all aspects of public international law, and law and development. A recent Fulbright Visiting Professor and Research Scholar at Harvard University (2011–2012), Qerim is the founder of the University of Prishtina Journal of Human Rights and Policy, editor-in-chief of “E DREJTA”, an academic journal of the University of Prishtina Faculty of Law, and a member of the Editorial Boards of the International Journal of Trade and Global Markets and Albanian Legal Studies. Formerly a senior advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo (2008-2010), he has also served as a senior legal expert for an EU-funded Project in the Office of the Prime Minister of Kosovo (2006-2008). His other experiences from the world of practice include working with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and as a consultant, with a number of projects funded or managed by the European Union, USAID, World Bank, and private corporations. In the period from 2005 to 2006, he has been a research fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law in Heidelberg, Germany, and in summer 2006, he attended The Hague Academy of International Law. Widely published, Qerim is the author of a recent book on Development in International Law: A Policy-Oriented Inquiry (2012, Martinus Nijhoff Publishers: Leiden and Boston), as well as an author of The Political Economy of Southeast Europe, published by Continuum International Publishing Group in New York (with B.S. Sergi). He has also published in the internationally-quoted journals such as Chicago-Kent Journal of International and Comparative Law, US-China Law Review, Asia Pacific Law Review, International Journal of Social Ecology and Sustainable Development, International Journal of Business Governance and Ethics, Utrecht Journal of International Law, South-East Europe Review for Labour and Social Affairs, Southeastern European Politics, Politikon, Problems of Economic Transition, Transition Studies Review, Journal of East-West Business; World Review of Entrepreneurship, Management, and Sustainable Development; Newsletter of the School of Human Rights Research.


Shpend Voca is an expert in the inter-ethnic and notably minority issues in Kosovo and wider in the Western Balkans. Shpend graduated from the University of Prishtina Department of Psychology, and was awarded the title “Bachelor of Psychology”. Afterward, he completed his postgraduate studies and received an MA in Applied Conflict Transformation Studies through the network of Nansen Dialogue (ND) in the region, UK and Norway. Since September 2015 he is attending his Ph.D. studies (part-time) in the Czech Republic specializing in social sciences. Previously, he worked with Kosovan Nansen Dialogue in Prishtina, assisting the return process through interethnic dialogue activities. Supplementing his academic experience, Shpend attended different training on conflict resolution, conflict theories and published in Birmingham (UK) the study entitled: “The effects of inter-ethnic dialogue on prejudice reduction and improved communication in Kosovo”. Previously, Shpend has been engaged as a psychosocial analyst in the Department of Justice (UNMIK), Office on Missing Persons and Forensics conducting research on the identification and assessment of psychosocial needs for the families of missing persons. Shpend also has working experience as a part-time trainer and counselor in different social issues at various local and international organizations and consultancies.
